ANKARA
Two policemen, a soldier and a protester were injured in protests held in Turkey's southern province of Hatay on Thursday following death of a university student, Ali Ismail Korkmaz who lost his life in ICU after being battered anonymously during Gezi Park protests in Eskisehir province in central Turkey on June 2.
Protesters gathered in Hatay's city-centre and threw stones at police after funeral of Korkmaz.
Police dispersed the protesters but when they reunited and erected barricades on roads, the police used tear gas and water cannon.
Two policemen, one soldier, and one protester got injured in the incidents.
In western Izmir province, police detained 15 protesters for damaging public buildings and vehicles as well as workplaces.
They are also charged with becoming members of a terror organization and provoking the public.
