BEIRUT
Anadolu Agency's (AA) Chairman of the Board and Director General Kemal Ozturk said on Wednesday that Arab media could reach all news stories that it needed from the AA.
After the AA opened an office in Beirut, Lebanon, Ozturk made assessments to the Arab media regarding the new office.
Ozturk said that the AA was currently broadcasting news stories in five languages; Turkish, Arabic, English, Bosnian and Russian, adding that the AA aimed to broadcast news reports in 11 languages within next ten years.
AA Director General Ozturk said that AA's Beirut office would help the improvement of Turkish-Lebanese relations, stating that the office that was opened in one of important capitals in the Middle East would be AA's second important news center in the region after its office in Cairo.
AA would meet the Arab media's need for news reports and all would see that AA was a more impartial and reliable news agency than Reuters and AFP, he said.
