At least 42 people were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a funeral in Iraq's Tuz Khormato town.
According to Iraqi security forces as well as medical executives, the suicide blast at the funeral took place at about 4.30 p.m. and resulted in the death of at least 42 people. 75 people were wounded in the incident.
A Turkmen deputy in the Iraqi National Parliament, Fevzi Ekrem stated that the Deputy Chairman of the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF), Ali Hasim Muhtaroglu and ITF's former chairman Sadettin Ergec and member of the provincial assembly in Kirkuk, Munir Kafili were also wounded in today's suicide blast.
Turkish MFA condemns suicide blast in Iraq
On the other hand, Turkey condemned suicide blast that killed at least 42 people in Tuz Khormato town of Iraq.
In a written statement released, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said that today's suicide blast at a funeral and in a mosque showed how inhumane the act was and it was learned with deep sadness.
