Chairman of a leading Turkish media group was attacked by armed men Thursday in Istanbul.
According to security sources, two unidentified assailants sprayed Star Media Group Chairman Murat Sancak's car with bullets as he was travelling in his car reportedly with his bodyguard and his driver in Istanbul's Hadimkoy district on the European side.
Sancak and the others in the car reportedly escaped the attack uninjured.
Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
Star Media was the target of an attempted bombing last July when an explosive device which was left in the yard of the group's headquarters was destroyed by bomb experts in a controlled detonation.
