ISTANBUL (AA) - September 10, 2012 - Capital Markets Board of Turkey (SPK) Chairman Vedat Akgiray became the first guest of Anadolu Agency (AA) Finance Editorial Desk's meetings on Monday.
AA began hosting professionals who are directing the economy in Turkey at its Finance Editorial Desk meetings in Istanbul.
The first meeting of the desk hosted SPK Chairman Akgiray.
While Akgiray was having a talk with AA's finance correspondents, AA Executive Board Chairman and Director General Kemal Ozturk joined the meeting via video conference.
Kemal Ozturk informed Akgiray about AA's Centennial Vision.
Stating that there was no news agency that makes Turkey's voice heard around the world, "For this reason, we prepared an 8-year project. We said that it is time to make Turkey's voice heard in the world," said Ozturk.
Meanwhile, Akgiray said that they were ready to help AA.
"I firmly believed that AA's Finance Editorial Desk will be successful," said Akgiray.
Akgiray's comments over Turkish economy's achievement in the recent years were broadcast live on aafinans.com internet address.
Anadolu Agency launched its finance news unit the "aafinans.com" a few weeks ago. Now, the agency will be hosting the market's leading names and people who are active in economy at its editorial meetings in Istanbul.
Meetings will be broadcast online via "aafinans.com" and staff members of the AA Finance Desk will direct the questions of market workers to the professionals from the sector and follow the daily finance agenda.
