A child hidden in a bag was found on board of an Air France plane coming from Istanbul to Paris.
French authorities have opened an inquiry into the matter that took place in Flight Air France 1891 which departed from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Monday and arrived at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
The airline said in a statement Wednesday that “an adult is reported to have travelled accompanied by a child hidden in a bag without a valid transport ticket”.
No details were given about the adult or the child's identities.
The company said it had requested the presence of French authorities at the flight's arrival.
