Zenit St. Petersburg were crowned Russian Premier League champions Sunday after defeating FC Krasnodar 4-2.

Iranian forward Sardar Azmoun netted the ball in the fifth minute, giving Zenit the lead, but Krasnodar’s Daniil Utkin evened the score. A penalty by Artyom Dzyuba put Zenit back in front, but Utkin made it 2-2. Goals by Azmoun and Alexei Sutormin secured the win for Zenit.

Zenit collected 62 points and is now 13 points ahead of second place Lokomotiv Moscow with four games remaining in the 2019-2020 season.

With today’s victory, the club won their sixth league title in history.
