Zenit beat Baskonia for second straight win

ANKARA 

Russia's Zenit Saint Petersburg defeated Spain's Kirolbet Baskonia 72-66 Wednesday in a Round 19 game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

During the game at the Sibur Arena in Saint Petersburg, power forward Will Thomas was the top scorer, playing with 19 points and six rebounds.

Polish small forward Mateusz Ponitka scored 14 points as center Colton Iverson helped his team with 10 points.

For Baskonia, shooting guard Nik Stauskas finished with 15 points, while Georgian player Tornike Shengelia and American guard Pierria Henry added 13 points each.

With the result, Zenit improved to six wins and 13 losses, while Baskonia dropped to seven victories and 12 losses.
