ANKARA

Turkish Women's Volleyball League club Eczacibasi VitrA reached a mutual agreement to part ways with US player Carli Lloyd, the Istanbul team confirmed on Friday.

“Thank you, Carli, for sharing your experiences and being a great friend to us. All the best!," the club said on Twitter.

She joined the team in 2019, and was part of it when Eczacibasi became second at the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in the same year.

Lloyd, 30, also helped the team win Turkey's Spor Toto Women's Champions Cup.

Jordan Thompson joins Eczacibasi

The club also announced Friday that the US outside hitter Jordan Thompson transferred to Eczacibasi from Fenerbahce.

"Another debutant is on board in the coming season. Welcome to the team JT!," the club said on Twitter.

The 23-year-old player helped the US Women win a gold medal at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
