The Control, Ethics, and Disciplinary Body of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has handed Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger one match ban each.
Rudiger was fined €40,000 and Mbappe €30,000, in addition to a one-match ban for "potentially violating the basic rules of decent conduct," the UEFA said in a statement.
The statement added that the match bans are not immediately enforced and are subject to a probationary period of one year.
Another Real Madrid player, Daniel Ceballos, was fined €20,000 for "potentially violating the basic rules of decent conduct," but did not receive a match ban.
On March 12, Real Madrid won the second leg of the Champions League last 16 round against Atletico Madrid in a penalty shootout, and Mbappe, Rudiger, Ceballos, and Vinicius Jr. made provocative gestures to the Atletico stands during the celebration.
