Türkiye defeated Serbia 82-78 in an away game in the FIBA 2027 World Cup European Qualifiers Group C competition Friday at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.

The win kept Türkiye unbeaten at the top of the group with three victories, while Serbia suffered their first loss.

Türkiye went on a 10-0 run in the fifth minute and closed the first quarter 22-13. The visitors stretched the margin to 45-31 at halftime, with Serbia mounting a late third-quarter rally to cut the deficit to 57-54 heading into the final period.

Serbia went ahead for the first time in the game at 73-72 with 1:41 remaining. In the closing stages, Tarık Biberovic converted a crucial shot from beyond the three-point line to restore Türkiye’s lead, and the visitors maintained their advantage to secure the victory.

Tarık Biberovic led Türkiye with 22 points, while Cedi Osman added 16. Bogoljub Markovic scored 19 points for Serbia and Ognjen Dobric had 17.
