Turkey's Merih Demiral leaves Juventus to join Atalanta

ANKARA

Merih Demiral has joined Atalanta on loan from Juventus, the football club based in Lombardy, Italy said on Friday.

He signed a loan contract, with an option to make the transfer permanent.

The Turkish defender joined Italian powerhouse Juventus from Sassuolo in 2019.

He produced one goal and two assists in 32 games for Juventus and won a Serie A trophy with the club.

The 23-year-old has 24 caps with the Turkish national team.
