Turkey's Guliyev shortlisted for male athlete of year
Four track and field athletes vie for European Athletics Male Athlete of the Year award

Turkish track and field athlete Ramil Guliyev is among the four finalists nominated for the male athlete of the year award by the European Athletics Association, the governing body for athletics in Europe.
Guliyev won the 200m title at the European Championships in Berlin in August, setting a championship record of 19.76 seconds.
Guliyev's fellow competitors are Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis, who won the gold medal at the 2018 European Championships, Norwegian middle-distance runner Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who achieved a 1500/5000m double at the European Championships, becoming the youngest European champion, and France's Kevin Mayer, men's decathlon world record holder.
The award will be presented at Golden Tracks award ceremony in Lausanne, Switzerland on Oct. 26.
