ISTANBUL 

Turkey's Mustafa Kaya won a gold medal in the 2019 European Wrestling Championships in Romania on Tuesday.

In men's 70-kg freestyle final, Kaya beat Azerbaijan's Aghahuseyn Mustafayev 6-2 to claim the gold medal at the tournament in Bucharest.

Earlier on Tuesday, Turkish wrestler Suleyman Atli won gold medal after beating Russia's Muslim Sadulaev 8-3 in men's 57-kg freestyle final.

Meanwhile, Turkey's Selahattin Kilicsallayan clinched a silver medal in men’s 65-kg freestyle final after defeated by Azerbaijan's Haci Aliyev.

In men's 79-kg freestyle final, Turkish wrestler Muhammet Nuri Kotanoglu will face Ukrainia's Oleksii Domanytskyi to claim a bronze medal tonight.

Meanwhile, Turkey's Taha Akgul beat Russia's Anzor Ruslanovitch Khizriev 8-1 in men's 125-kg freestyle to face Georgian Geno Petriashvili in the final.
