Turkey stands united: Galatasaray's Muslera

ANKARA

Turkey cannot be divided, the Uruguayan goalkeeper of Turkish football club Galatasaray said Saturday as Turks mark the first anniversary of the defeated coup.

"No one can divide this beautiful country, everyone witnessed it a year ago," Fernando Muslera tweeted -- with fans and followers on the social media platform sending congratulatory messages.

The Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader, Fetullah Gulen, are accused of orchestrating the coup attempt of July 15, 2016, that left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
