Spanish teen tennis player Carlos Alcaraz continued his stellar journey on Sunday by lifting the Madrid Open title after beating Alexander Zverev.

Alcaraz, 19, defeated world no. 3 Zverev from Germany 6-3, 6-1 in the final at Manolo Santana Stadium in Madrid.

He secured his second ATP Masters 1000 title of the season and also became the youngest Madrid Open winner.

In his previous two games to reach the final, Alcaraz beat tennis star Rafael Nadal and world no. 1 Novak Djokovic.

"It feels great to be able to beat these players. To beat two of the best players in history and then Zverev, the world number 3. He is a great player. I would say this is the best week of my life," the Spaniard said following his victory.
