ANKARA

Super Lig club Trabzonspor confirmed on Wednesday the signing of Marlon Rodrigues Xavier from Fluminense on a one-year loan deal.

The Turkish club will pay €150,000 ($176,000) to the Brazilian club for the loan fee.

Trabzonspor also have the option of making the deal permanent for a fee of €2 million ($2.35 million).

The Brazilian left-back and Trabzonspor reached an agreement for a year-long contract, and three-year extension if the transfer is made permanent.

Xavier played 33 matches for Fluminense before joining Boavista on loan in August 2019. He made 28 appearances for the Portuguese club last season.
