Pogacar of UAE Team Emirates finishes 80-mile stage from Saint Gaudens to Peyragudes in 3 hours, 25 minutes, 51 seconds

Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar wins stage 17 of Tour de France

ISTANBUL

Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar won the 17th stage of the Tour de France on Wednesday.

The United Arab Emirates Team Emirates rider completed the 130-kilometer (80-mile) stage from Saint Gaudens to Peyragudes in 3 hours, 25 minutes and 51 seconds.

Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard of Jumbo-Visma is leading the race in a time of 67 hours, 53 minutes and 54 seconds, ahead of Pogacar by 2 minutes and 18 seconds.

The 18th stage, a 143-kilometer (88-mile) ride, will be held Thursday from Lourdes to Hautacam.

The 21-stage Tour de France will end July 24 in Paris.
