ANKARA
Sevilla Head Coach Unai Emery has extended his tenure at the Spanish La Liga club.
According to UEFA's website, the 42-year-old Basque native’s new deal will see him coach at the club until the end of 2015-16 season.
After inking the new deal with Sevilla, Unai Emery said, "The confidence (between club and coach) has made us stronger. You always look to get the best (out of the players), so we always spoke about me continuing here because things have gone well. What is needed now is to maintain these performances as we look to grow. We will look for continuity in European competition while hoping to make advances in the Liga and the Copa del Rey"
Under Emery Sevilla were crowned the winners of 2013-14 UEFA Europa League title after defeating Portuguese giants Benfica 4-2 on penalties.
