The NBA has fined Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid $75,000 for making obscene gestures, the US league confirmed on Saturday.
"Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has been fined $75,000 for making obscene gestures on the playing court it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations," the NBA said in a statement.
The incidents in question occurred on Wednesday during the first half of the 76ers’ 118-114 win over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.
Embiid, 30, this season has averaged 21.3 points, seven rebounds and 3.9 assists.
