ESKISEHIR, Turkey
Fourteen-year-old Sumeyye Boyaci came in fourth in the Paralympic Swimming Championships, the Eskisehir Greater Municipality announced Tuesday.
Boyaci, a swimmer with the city's Youth and Sports Club, won the at the 2017 Festival which started Saturday in Mexico City, Mexico.
Boyaci ranked fourth in the 50m backstroke event with a time of 46.57 seconds, missing a medal by only split seconds.
Two months ago, Boyaci won silver and bronze medals in the European Paralympic Youth Games, according to the statement.
The seven-day Festival is due to wrap up on Dec. 8.
