NBA team Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal agreed to sign a new super lucrative contract with the Eastern Conference franchise on Thursday.

"The Washington Wizards and All-Star guard Bradley Beal have reached an agreement on a two-year extension. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports the deal is for $72 million and will begin next season," NBA said on its website.

"The deal also includes a player option for 2022-23 and will keep Beal from hitting the free-agent market for three more seasons," it added.

Beal, 26, has been playing for Wizards since 2012. He has a two-year-contract with Wizards but Beal's new deal will come into force in 2021-22 season.

So, in the four year period, Beal will be able to have around $130 million from his team.

Beal earned $25.4 million last season, this season he will bag $27 million.

Last season Beal averaged 25.6 points, 5.5 assists and 5 rebounds.
