Houston Rockets defeated Philadelphia 76ers 118-108 on Friday night at home, as James Harden recorded a 40-point triple-double. 

Harden finished with 44 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, as the Rockets handed the Sixers their 4th straight loss.

The Rockets' big man Clint Capela added 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to outmatch Joel Embiid (20 points, 12 rebounds).

The Sixers are currently at 6th spot in the Eastern Conference, with 23 wins and 14 losses, meanwhile, the Rockets are at 4th spot in the Western Conference with 24 wins and 11 losses.  

Lakers dismantle Pelicans in Davis' big night

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Friday night, behind superstar Anthony Davis' 46 points and 13 boards, to get their 4th straight win.

Lebron James finished with 17 points, 15 assists and 8 boards in the victory, while Danny Green added 25 points on 6/10 shooting from the three-point line.

For the Pelicans, former Lakers players Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart combined for 50 points but saw their 4-game winning streak snapped.

The Lakers continue to lead the Western Conference with 28 wins and 7 losses, while the Pelicans 14th in the West, with 11 wins and 24 losses.
