ANKARA (AA) - Liverpool Legends beat Ajax Legends 4-2 in a charity match Saturday that was hosted by LFC Foundation.

The squad of Liverpool Legends, which was captained by "Mr. Liverpool" Steven Gerrard, included Fernando Torres, Djibril Cisse, Daniel Agger, Dirk Kuyt, Maxi Rodriguez and Jerzy Dudek.

Former legends including Edgar Davids, Demy de Zeeuw, Kiki Musampa, Danny Blind and Urby Emanuelson played for Ajax Legends.

Torres, whose career went downhill after leaving Liverpool in 2011, scored once more at Anfield after 13 years.

Former England and Manchester City manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson, who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer earlier this year, was the Liverpool Legends manager.

The Swedish coach, who is known for always dreaming of becoming a coach for Liverpool, said: "(It is])a memory for life."

"I think everybody was a winner today and it was beautiful, absolutely fantastic, incredible: everything from You’ll Never Walk Alone and the rest of the match, and a good win – we were 2-0 down and won 4-2!" he added.
