LeBron eclipses 9,000 assists in Lakers 108-95 win
Lakers beat Dallas, superstar James becomes only player to record 9,000 assists and 9,000 rebounds in NBA history
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday showdown in the NBA, in what happened to be another career milestone achievement for superstar LeBron James.
During the 108-95 win for Lakers, James recorded 13 points and 13 assists at Staples Center, and became the ninth player in NBA history to have 9,000 career assists.
Turning 35-years-old on Monday, James is now the only NBA player in history to record 9,000 career assists and 9,000 career rebounds.
Among the NBA's active players, James is currently ranked second with 9,009 assists.
Oklahoma City Thunder's 34-year-old guard Chris Paul produced 9,389 assists in his career to lead the active NBA players' in assists.
Led by James and Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers cruised to victory against Mavericks on Sunday's home game.
Davis became the top scorer of the game to play with 23 points. He also grabbed nine rebounds.
Shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 19 points, while Dwight Howard helped Lakers with 15 points.
Mavericks' Slovenian star Luka Doncic scored 19 points as shooting guard Delon Wright came off the bench to drop 14 points.
Lakers great Kobe Bryant was also present at Staples Center, watched the game with his daughter.
The Lakers are currently leading the Western Conference with a 26 wins 7 losses record.
Mavericks come fifth in standings with 21-11 win/loss record.
