Javi Sanchez moves to Real Valladolid on long-term deal

ANKARA

Real Valladolid announced Tuesday that Javi Sanchez signed a long-term contract with the club.

"Agreement reached with @realmadriden [Real Madrid] for the transfer of Javi Sanchez. He signs until 2024. Congratulations!," the Spanish La Liga team said on Twitter.

His former club, Real Madrid, thanked the defender for his service. "The club would like to thank Javi Sanchez for all these years of commitment, professionalism and exemplary conduct, ever since he joined our academy in 2005 at 8 years old, and we wish him the best of luck in this new stage of his career."

Sanchez, 23, joined the club in July 2019 on loan but played just two games this season because of an ankle injury.
