Ciro Immobile became the top scorer for Italian football club Lazio, netting his 160th goal.

The 31-year-old made history after scoring in the UEFA Europa League game against Olympique Marseille on Thursday.

A three-time Serie A top scorer, Immobile surpassed the previous record holder Silvio Piola, who had 159 goals for the Rome club.

He joined Lazio from Sevilla in 2016, and also has 44 assists in 233 games.

The Italian attacker also played for clubs including Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Torino and Genoa.

This July, he bagged a UEFA European Championship title with Italy, defeating England on penalties in a match that ended 1-1.

The official Twitter account of Lazio shared Immobile's photo with a caption that read: "THE GOAT" – the Greatest Of All Time.
