Atletico Madrid and Barcelona drew goalless after a hard-fought La Liga match in Vicente Calderon on Saturday.
Barcelona Manager Gerardo Martino did not start his superstars Messi and Neymar but both came off the bench at the second half as Atletico Madrid wasted important chances with Arda Turan and Diego Costa.
While there were dangerous attacks for both sides, the goalkeepers did their job and kept Barcelona and Atletico Madrid forwards' shots off the goal line.
With the result, Barcelona remained on top of the league, with both teams currently at 50 points. Barcelona will play against Levante and Atletico Madrid will square off against Sevilla.
On the other hand, Real Madrid, playing away Sunday with Espanyol, will try to gain advantage and lower the gap to three points.
