Football: Barcelona crowned Spanish La Liga winners
Catalan giants "Barca" win the Spanish La Liga title for the 23rd time in history.

ANKARA
Barcelona won the Spanish La Liga title for the 23rd time by beating Atletico Madrid, 1-0, with a match to spare Sunday.
Catalan giants' Argentine star forward Lionel Messi scored in the 65th minute enabling Barca to snatch the title at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's closest opponents in standings, Real Madrid, won against Espanyol, 4-1; however, this win was not enough for Real Madrid to maintain the title race.
Barcelona won the domestic league for the sixth time in the last 10 years.
