ANKARA

Galatasaray narrowly won Saturday at Caykur Rizespor 1-0 to lead Türkiye's Trendyol Super Lig.

The visitors edged Rizespor at Didi Stadium in the Black Sea province of Rize as Portuguese midfielder Sergio Oliveira scored the winning goal in the 68th minute.

Oliveira took a shot toward goal but it was deflected by a defender before going into the net.

Minutes later, Rizespor's Gustavo scored for the home team but it was disallowed for offside after a VAR review.

Galatasaray have 28 points in 10​​​​​​​ matches to top the league. Second-place Fenerbahce have 27 points but have a match in hand.

Fenerbahce will stay in Istanbul to visit Pendikspor on Sunday.
