ANKARA
European press claimed that Turkish club Galatasaray is interested in many internationally renowned players such as Real Madrid's Argentine winger Angel Di Maria and Manchester United's Serbian centre-back Nemanja Vidic.
It is claimed that Di Maria may leave his club at the end of the season if a lucrative transfer fee is paid to the Spanish giants. Galatasaray, who could pay 28 million euros for the Argentine winger, has been competing against English Arsenal in offering a 25 million euro transfer bid to Real Madrid. If Los Blancos (the Whites) accepts Galatasaray's offer, the Turkish club could be ready to pay Angel Di Maria 160,000 British pounds a week.
Rumours in English press say that Barcelona may take on Galatasaray for Manchester United's Vidic, whose contract will expire at the end of the season. The Serbian footballer's agent Silvano Martina confirmed the offers from many clubs, and said that Vidic did not renew his contract with the Red Devils as the 32-year-old defender did not want to decide his future in a hurry.
On the other hand, Italian Sky Sports claimed that Galatasaray was also interested in Inter's Italian centre-back Andrea Ranocchia. It is mentioned that the Yellow-Reds scouted the Italian centre-back during the match against Chievo Veronax but they were disappointed since Ranocchia had not been selected for the first eleven. According to the same source, Galatasaray did not make an offer to Inter and should compete against many English Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur for the 25-year-old centre-back.
In 2011, Inter paid 18.5 million euros to Genoa for Italian centre-back Ranocchia, who has been capped 12 times for Italy so far.
