Football: Spanish club Real Sociedad appoints new coach
Former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes will now manage the Spanish La Liga's Basque side, Real Sociedad

MADRID
The Spanish football club, Real Sociedad, appointed David Moyes as their new head coach Monday night.
Moyes is the former Everton and Manchester United manager, who will work abroad for the first time in his career. He is expected to meet the media Tuesday.
According to a statement made on the club website, Moyes, 51, will manage the team until June 30, 2016.
The club hired the Scottish coach for the vacant position after having made a bad start to Spain’s highest football division, La Liga. It approached the relegation zone of the league last week.
Nicknamed as Los Txuri-Urdin or the White and Blue, Real Sociedad have nine points in 11 league matches. They are currently at the 15th place in La Liga.
