ANKARA

Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk's forward Taison shared a statement on his Instagram account after he was sent off for responding to racial abuse from Dynamo Kiev supporters on Sunday.

"I will never shut up in face of such an inhuman and despicable act. My tears were of indignation, repudiation and helplessness, helplessness that I could do nothing at that moment," Taison wrote on his Instagram account.

The 31-year-old player also said that everyone must fight for their rights and for equality.

"In a racist society, it is not enough not to be racist, we must be anti-racist! Football needs more respect; the world needs more respect!" he added.

Shakhtar Donetsk's Taison was sent off in the 82nd minute, after reacting to racist insults from Dynamo Kiev fans in Sunday's the Ukrainian Premier League match.

During his six-year spell at Shakhtar Donetsk, he scored 48 goals and produced 73 assists in 253 club appearances also he has played eight games for the Brazilian national team.
