Football: Queiroz era comes to an end in Iran

ANKARA
Iran's national football team manager Carlos Queiroz has resigned.
The Iranian Football Association said on Wednesday the Portuguese manager had resigned after a friendly match against Sweden which Iran lost 3-1.
The 62-year-old, who managed the team for four years, said: "I was proud of the whole team and players during that period.
"I am sorry to leave."
Queiroz managed the worldwide famous Spanish football club Real Madrid and Portugal during his career
