Former Manchester United player signs one-year deal with Istanbul club

ANKARA
Manchester United's Portuguese winger Luis Nani joined Fenerbahce on Monday.
The 28-year-old player, who spent last season on loan with Sporting Lisbon, spoke to reporters at the Istanbul club’s Sukru Saracoglu stadium after signing a one-year deal.
"I really am very happy to be here now,” he said. “I see this as a new opportunity in my career. This is an opportunity for me to demonstrate myself. I want to be successful. I've seen all these fans coming out for me and I was really happy. I want to show them my best football.”
Nani joined United in 2007 from Sporting Lisbon and helped the Premier League club win four titles and the Champions League, scoring 40 goals in 230 appearances.
