Football: Fenerbahce, Konyaspor share points in league

ANKARA 

Fenerbahce and Konyaspor share points with 1-1 score on Saturday evening in Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig.

Despite being left with 10-men after Adis Jahovic was sent off in the 33rd minute, Atiker Konyaspor managed to get the lead with a counter-attack in the 36th minute.

Moryke Fofana found the net after successfully dismantling Fenerbahce defense, giving his team the 1-0 lead.

Fenerbahce equalized the match at 1-1 in the dying minutes of the first half, thanks to well-placed finish by Brazilian Jailson.

In the second half, a Fenerbahce goal in the late minutes was disallowed after checking with Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system.

After the match, Konyaspor improved to fifth spot with a game in hand, Fenerbahce continued to struggle with 24 points, only getting the 15th spot.

On Friday evening, Besiktas defeated Yeni Malatyaspor 2-1 in the away match to increase their points total to 39, continued to follow league leaders Medipol Basaksehir.
