Football: DR Congo end Africa Cup of Nations in third place
Democratic Republic of the Congo win third place playoff against hosts Equatorial Guinea 4-2 on penalties

ANKARA
Democratic Republic of the Congo won the third place playoff against host nation of 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, Equatorial Guinea, 4-2 on penalties in Malabo on Saturday.
The match ended 0-0 and went to penalty shootout.
Cedrick Mabwati, Lema Mabidi, Chancel Mangulu Mbemba and Cedric Mongongu converted the penalties for Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Equatorial Guinea, Juvenal Edjogo Owono and Ruben Belima Rodriguez found the net on penalties whilst Javier Balboa and Fabiani Bosio missed.
This is Democratic Republic of the Congo’s second third place title in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The final match of the tournament will be played between Ivory Coast and Ghana in Bata on Sunday.
