LONDON

 English Premier League winners Chelsea have acquired the services of Brazilian midfielder Nathan Allan de Souza, also known as "Nathan," on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old footballer confirmed the transfer on his Instagram account: "A dream is coming true. First of all I want to thank God for always lighting my way. Thank you Chelsea for trusting in me, I will do my best to support my team on reaching new achievements."

British media claimed that Chelsea purchased Nathan from Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense for £4.5 million ($7 million).

Having played 13 matches at Atletico Paranaense, Nathan has been capped by Brazil under-17 and under-20 teams.
