Football: Basaksehir remain on top of Turkish league

ISTANBUL

Medipol Basaksehir remain strong on top of the Turkish football league with 34 points after a draw with rival Galatasaray.

In the Week 16 of Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig, Medipol Basaksehir's match with Galatasaray ended in a 1-1 draw. Besiktas and Trabzonspor also reached a 2-2 draw.

Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor came second with 28 points, followed by Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Galatasaray, with 26 points each.

Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor defeated Antalyaspor 2-0 and moved up the second place after Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Galatasaray all dropped points.

Fenerbahce remained in the relegation zone after a 2-2 draw with Erzurumspor at home.

Currently, Fenerbahce with 15 points are at 17th place in the league -- 19 points away from top of the league.
