55-year-old signs 2.5-year contract with Istanbul club

ISTANBUL
Medipol Basaksehir appointed Aykut Kocaman as their new manager, the Turkish Super Lig side announced on Monday.
In a statement, the Istanbul football club said both sides reached an agreement on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The 55-year-old led Fenerbahce to clinch the Super Lig title in 2011, and two Turkish Cup trophies in 2012 and 2013.
Last week, Basaksehir parted ways with manager Okan Buruk, who helped the club lift its first-ever Super Lig trophy last year.
