Dirk Kuyt, the Dutch forward for Turkish Spor Toto Super League club Fenerbahce, has told how he is always dreaming of returning to his former club, Feyenoord .
Talking to Dutch television channel TV West on Tuesday, 34-year-old Kuyt said Fenerbahce had important games ahead on its road to the Turkish Super League title, so had not had time to discuss his future with his agent.
"I always dreamt about returning to Feyenoord. And it's possible now. I know what I want. I spent very good times at Fenerbahce. The club (Fenerbahce) wants me to be in Istanbul", said the Dutch veteran forward.
He said he had bought a house close to his hometown of Noordwijk, adding his children will play for Dutch amateur football club Quick Boys, where he began his career, if he returns to the Netherlands.
Dutch media has reported Feyenoord offered a contract to their ex-player in February.
Having played for Feyenoord from 2003 to 2006, Kuyt has spoken of his desire to return to his Rotterdam-based club many times.
Dirk Kuyt was transferred to Fenerbahce from English team Liverpool in 2012 and retired from international football last year.
