Fenerbahce Beko claim top spot in EuroLeague after 82-77 win against Baskonia
Yellow Canaries secure home-court advantage in playoffs with 2 games remaining in regular season

ISTANBUL
Fenerbahce Beko moved to the top of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings after defeating Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 82-77 on Friday at Ulker Sports Arena in Round 32.
Despite holding the same 22-10 record as Olympiacos Piraeus, the Yellow Canaries claimed the top spot by defeating the Greek side in two games during the regular season.
With two games remaining in the regular season, the Istanbul side also secured home-court advantage in the playoffs by guaranteeing a top-four finish.
Baskonia, which was already eliminated from play-in contention following a loss to Anadolu Efes on Wednesday, fell to 13-19.
Nigel Hayes-Davis, one of the candidates for the Most Valuable Player award, led Fenerbahce with 17 points and seven rebounds. Baskonia’s guard Trent Forrest had a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists.
Fenerbahce will host FC Barcelona next week before closing the regular season on the road against FC Bayern Munich.
