PARIS
Former F1 driver Michael Schumacher, who sustained serious head injuries in a skiing accident last December, was discharged from Grenoble Hospital, France on Monday.
In a written statement the F1 star’s agent, Sabine Kehm, thanked hospital staff for their efforts and the first aid team for their emergency medical intervention right after the accident which happened at the Meribel Ski Resort in the French Alps.
Schumacher had been in a coma and was also operated in the French hospital where his treatment was ongoing. During late January doctors gradually began reducing his dosage of medicine, leading to Schumacher’s gradual return to consciousness.
