Selemon Barega of Ethiopia bagged the gold medal in the men's 10,000-meter at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday.

He finished the race in 27 minutes and 43.22 seconds to win the gold at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium.

Joshua Cheptegei of Uganda came second with 27:43.63, while another Ugandan athlete, Jacob Kiplimo, sealed the bronze medal after completing the race in 27:43.88.
