ISTANBUL

Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi has signed with Eintracht Frankfurt from Istanbul team Galatasaray on a contract running until June 30, 2027.

"Michy Batshuayi doesn’t only have a great goalscoring record, he has plenty of experience because he’s played in almost all of Europe’s top leagues, including the Bundesliga," Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krosch said in a statement.

"Michy has the necessary robustness and is battle-hardened. We’re confident he will quickly take on an important role in our young team," he added.

Batshuayi has had a well-traveled career, having played for Standard Liege, Olympique Marseille, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and Valencia, as well as Turkish clubs Besiktas, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray.

At the club level in European competitions, he has netted 24 goals in 78 matches.

The 31-year-old Belgian forward was part of Chelsea's 2016-17 Premier League-winning squad.
