US forward Sophia Smith scored a double and her teammate Lindsey Horan added a goal for the Stars and Stripes in a Group E match at Auckland's Eden Park.
Meanwhile, Japan hammered Zambia 5-0 to top Group C.
In a Group D match, England beat Haiti 1-0 as attacking midfielder Georgia Stanway scored a first-half penalty.
Denmark toppled China 1-0 in another Group D match.
