Czech team USK Prague win FIBA EuroLeague Women title

PRAGUE 

Czech team USK Prague won 2014-15 FIBA EuroLeague Women title by beating Russian club UMMC Ekaterinburg 72-68 in the final in Prague on Sunday.

USK Prague won the first quarter by five points, 17-12. Tallying points by fast breaks against UMMC Ekaterinburg, the Czech side headed to the dressing room ahead by four.

USK Prague were effective in offense in the third quarter and increased the margin to double digits: 50-40.

UMMC Ekaterinburg did not give up the fight and narrowed the gap to two points six seconds to go (70-68). But USK Prague won the title by beating their opponents 72-68.

FIBA Europe President Turgay Demirel handed the cup to the winners, USK Prague in the trophy ceremony.

In addition, Demirel presented 2014 Women's Player of the Year award to UMMC Ekaterinburg's Alba Torrens.
