Chelsea on Thursday reached a deal with Ajax to sign Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech this summer.

"Ajax and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hakim Ziyech. The player will join the Premier League club on July 1st 2020 and will finish the season in Amsterdam," Ajax said in a statement on their website.

The Premier League club will pay the Dutch side at least €40 million ($43.4 million) transfer fee and could potentially increase it to a maximum of €44 million, the Amsterdam club said.

The 26-year-old made his debut for Ajax on Sept. 2016.

The Moroccan international scored 49 goals in 160 matches for Ajax.
