The Brooklyn Nets retired Hall of Famer Vince Carter's No. 15 jersey on Saturday.

"This is truly something my family and I will cherish forever," Carter said during a ceremony at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

"It is an honor to be up there with you gentlemen. No. 15 Carter is going up there, but we’re going up there together," he added.

Carter holds the team’s NBA record for single-season points (2,070 in 2006-07) and is third in the team’s NBA history in points (8,834) in 374 games over four-plus seasons with the Nets.

He is the sixth-highest assist producer (1,762) in Nets history and has been to the playoffs with his team three times.

An eight-time All-Star and 1998-99 Rookie of the Year, in his 22 seasons in the NBA he has also played for the Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, and Atlanta Hawks.
