Benfica beat Fenerbahce 1-0 in Champs League quals

ANKARA

Benfica defeated Fenerbahce 1-0 on Tuesday evening at home in UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round's first leg match.

Franco Cervi's deflected shot in the 69th minute give Benfica the important 1-0 lead at Estadio da Luz, going into the second leg.

Third round tie winners will face PAOK or Spartak Moscow in playoffs round to enter the group stage in the tournament.

Losers of the tie will move into the UEFA Europa League group stages.
